Product Description

The Cisco SFP-10G-SR is a high-performance 10 Gigabit Ethernet SFP+ optical transceiver designed for short-range, high-speed data transmission over Multimode Fiber (MMF). Ideal for enterprise networks, campus backbones, and data centers, this hot-swappable module delivers reliable 10 Gbps connectivity while supporting high-density network deployments. It is optimized for applications requiring fast, low-latency communication over short distances.

Operating at an 850 nm wavelength, the SFP-10G-SR supports transmission distances of up to 300 meters on OM3 multimode fiber and 400 meters on OM4 multimode fiber, using a duplex LC optical connector. The module complies with the SFP+ Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) and supports seamless interoperability with compatible Cisco networking equipment.

The transceiver features Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM), allowing administrators to monitor critical operating parameters such as transmit power, receive power, temperature, voltage, and laser bias current for proactive diagnostics and network management. Its hot-swappable design enables installation or replacement without disrupting network operations, reducing downtime and simplifying maintenance.
