Product Description

The JUNIPER Networks Clustering Module (SCM) is a dedicated hardware module designed for the SRX3400 and SRX3600 Services Gateways, enabling high-availability chassis clustering for mission-critical network security deployments. Installed within the firewall chassis, the module provides the dedicated control and fabric interfaces required to connect two SRX gateways into a resilient chassis cluster.

The Clustering Module supports stateful failover, synchronizing session, routing, and security information between clustered devices to ensure uninterrupted network services during hardware or software failures. By allowing two SRX gateways to operate as a single logical firewall, it enhances system availability, simplifies management, and minimizes downtime in enterprise data centers, service provider networks, and large campus environments.
