The Juniper Networks MIC-3D-2XGE-XFP is a high-performance 10-Gigabit Ethernet Modular Interface Card (MIC) designed for the Juniper MX Series Universal Routing Platforms. It provides two 10-Gigabit Ethernet XFP ports, enabling high-speed connectivity for enterprise networks, service providers, cloud infrastructures, and data center environments. Engineered to deliver reliable wire-speed performance, this MIC is ideal for applications requiring high-bandwidth data transmission, network aggregation, and backbone connectivity.

Designed for seamless integration with compatible MX Series Modular Port Concentrators (MPCs), the MIC-3D-2XGE-XFP supports advanced networking services while maintaining Juniper’s renowned performance and reliability. Each XFP interface delivers up to 10 Gbps throughput, making the module suitable for carrier Ethernet, WAN aggregation, metro Ethernet, and large enterprise deployments. The module supports both LAN-PHY (10.3125 Gbps) and WAN-PHY (9.953 Gbps) operating modes, offering deployment flexibility across different network infrastructures.

The module is compatible with a wide range of Juniper-supported XFP optical transceivers, allowing organizations to select short-range or long-range fiber optics according to their network requirements. It supports maximum transmission units (MTUs) up to 9192 bytes, improving efficiency for storage networking, virtualization, and high-performance data applications.
