The Juniper Networks SRX1K3K-NP-2XGE-SFPP is a high-performance Network Processing and I/O Card (NP-IOC) designed for the Juniper SRX3400, SRX3600, and SRX1400 Services Gateways. Featuring two 10 Gigabit Ethernet SFP+ ports, this interface card delivers high-speed connectivity and advanced packet processing for enterprise, service provider, and data center security deployments. It is engineered to provide the performance and scalability required for high-bandwidth applications while supporting Juniper’s industry-leading security services.

The module integrates both Network Processing (NP) and Input/Output Controller (IOC) functionality into a single card, enabling efficient traffic forwarding and hardware-accelerated processing. This architecture allows the SRX Services Gateway to deliver wire-speed performance for firewall inspection, VPN encryption, intrusion prevention (IPS), application visibility, NAT, and advanced threat protection without compromising throughput. The dedicated network processor ensures that demanding security services operate efficiently even under heavy network loads.

Equipped with two hot-swappable 10 Gigabit Ethernet SFP+ interfaces, the SRX1K3K-NP-2XGE-SFPP supports a wide range of Juniper-approved SFP+ optical transceivers, including short-range and long-range fiber modules (sold separately). This flexibility enables organizations to deploy the appropriate optical solution for data center interconnects, enterprise backbones, campus networks, and WAN connectivity based on their infrastructure requirements.
